The Zion Canyon Giant Screen Theatre opened on May 26, 1994 to show the giant screen film Zion Canyon Treasure of the Gods. Located adjacent to Zion National Park, and the beautiful Virgin River in Springdale, Utah the Theatre Center features a six-story giant screen, Toaquim’s Village , Zion Outfitter, Springdale Bakery, Fatali Gallery, Sol Foods Cafe & Grocery Store.
The theatre’s giant screen is the largest in Utah and one of the largest in the world measuring 60 feet high and 82 feet across. Sound is delivered through an eight track digital Surround Sound system capable of 22,000 watts.
The Zion Canyon Giant Screen Theatre is the final stop for the Springdale Town Shuttle. Park visitors will get off the town shuttle and cross the river into the park, where they will catch the park shuttle at the new Transportation Center.
The Zion Canyon Giant Screen Theatre has 2 Christie Digital CP2000 projectors, they are set up in what is called a “Stacked Projection system” This is what allows us to show 3D films. The server is a Doremi Filmstore.
